Willie Bryant, 60, Dies After Motorcycle Crash on Alabama 69 in Tuscaloosa County

The community is mourning the death of Willie P. Bryant, 60, of Sawyerville, who was killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Alabama 69 in Tuscaloosa County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, near mile marker 137, about four miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limits.

Bryant was operating a 2004 Honda VTX1300C motorcycle when it was struck by an SUV. The force of the collision threw Bryant from the motorcycle, leaving him with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver also suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment. A 14-year-old juvenile passenger traveling in the SUV was also injured and taken to a local hospital. Authorities have not released additional information regarding their conditions.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash as investigators began working to establish what led to the collision. The roadway incident resulted in a significant response as authorities examined the scene and documented evidence connected to the crash.
