One of the most serious incidents associated with King Georges Road occurred after a vehicle was allegedly stolen from a service station in South Hurstville. Police later located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver reportedly continued toward the M5 Motorway.
The pursuit eventually ended near Camden, where the stolen vehicle collided with another car. The crash resulted in two fatalities, turning the incident into a major investigation involving police and other emergency authorities.
A 31-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident. Investigators have continued examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged vehicle theft, police pursuit, and fatal collision.
